2009 US Masters update

D3 Skis ruled at the 50th US Masters at beautiful Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain Georgia.

D3 continues to support the three-event segment by producing the finest skis for slalom, trick and jump. The best skiers in the world are choosing D3.

47 out of 109 skiers were riding a D3. No other manufacturer was even close.

12 individual event gold medals were earned. D3 skiers claimed 6 of them. Again no other ski brand was close.

Freddy Krueger continues his absolute “ownage” of the jump world with a huge 231′ leap and his 8thMasters Jump title as well as bonus cash for the longest jump of the tournament.  Congrats to Dash Krueger’s dad for a job well done!!!

Jimmy Siemers proved he is completely healed after a nasty cycling crash just a few short months ago. Jimmy saved the big run for the finals and stuck a 7,000 point hand pass to cement his second consecutive Masters Trick title. Fantastic skiing Jimmy!!

Adam Pickos just keeps improving. The competition is so tough but Adam saves his best tricking for the big events.  Team Pickos was there in full support and Adam did not disappoint. 2009 Junior Masters Trick Champion is again Adam Pickos.  AWESOME!!

Mike Morgan may have to get used to the title “Lauren’s Dad”.  This young competitor already has the Morgan toughness and proved it big-time by winning her first Junior Masters jump title. Go girl!!!

How about 13 year old Erika Lange?  In her first (and not last) Masters event she not only stood up her trick run she qualified for the finals!!  The youngest competitor of the tournament was not intimidated by the pressure of the finals. Erika not only stood up her run again she took the silver medal. Watch out girls, this young skier is for real.

Anais Amade fresh off her Open Slalom victory at the 2009 MoombaMasters came to her first US Masters with confidence. In the opening round she ran 2@38 in some challenging conditions and ended up in a 3 -way tie for the last spot in the finals. With a brutal fall she came up just short of the finals in her first Masters event. Congrats and we hope for a speedy recovery of your shoulder.

All in all the 50th Masters was a great event as always. D3 would like to thank Callaway Gardens and especially Correct Craft for producing the finest three- event tournament anywhere.
